I'm Brian Foy, and like you, there isn't anywhere else I'd rather call home than Huntsville; especially District 2! I love living in and serving District 2. It would be an honor to serve District 2 as your next Councilmember!
I grew up in Madison County and attended Sparkman High School. After high school, I received an undergraduate degree in MIS from the University of Alabama, a Masters in Management from UAH, and an MBA from the University of Denver.
After graduation, I worked in management and leadership roles in software development, software service delivery, and process improvement for Fortune 500 companies Amazon, Emerson Electric, and McKesson as well as small businesses and software startups. I have successfully managed large, diverse teams and multi-million dollar projects. Currently, I am the Service Delivery Executive and co-owner of a small software services business in Huntsville.
Since my wife - Andrea - our two daughters - Katie and Abby - and I returned to Huntsville and moved to Blossomwood in 2012, I have been active in serving our community in multiple volunteer roles. Most recently, I've had the privilege to serve on the Board of Directors for the North Alabama Soccer Coalition - a non-profit soccer club based in Huntsville - since 2015 and as President since 2017.
I'll be a champion for District 2 and bring a strong and accessible voice and a fresh perspective to City Council. I humbly ask for your support and vote to be your next Councilmember!

Huntsville is growing faster than its infrastructure. Expansion and growth must be coordinated, balanced, modern, and sustainable. I am committed to improving our roadways, sidewalk access, parking solutions, extending public transportation, and increasing our green space, walkability, and cyclability. Huntsville needs to be a connected city.
A safe and secure Huntsville is a prosperous Huntsville. I support our law enforcement, first responders, and services and programs that improve security and safety for District 2 and all of Huntsville.
Community is key to Huntsville's success. I'm an advocate for more public access to city facilities and smart reinvestment and redevelopment to further connect and engage our communities. I'll ensure we have constructive appointments to boards and commissions - people who are committed to improving our City and our quality of life.
The affordability index in District 2 is great, but we need to ensure as Huntsville grows, our workforce: teachers, nurses, firefighters, police officers... have affordable housing options available. As your Councilmember, I will work to keep Huntsville a place where we can live-work-play.
There is nothing worse than navigating red tape and waiting for government to act. As your Councilmember, I will be available to you and move quickly to resolve issues. Success requires a bias for action.
Huntsville is best served when citizens have easy access to government and officials are held accountable. As your Councilmember, I will take action to promote civic engagement, increase transparency, diligently review ordinances, and focus on financial stewardship - ensuring our spending matches our priorities.
